On my homepage I have 20 links to recently updated or added topics (from a vBulletin forum) in a feature called "Recent Forum Topics."

Links are only there for maybe a day before the get bumped off the page. Would this short life for the links be considered "link churning" and will it hurt SEO-wise?

I've thought about limiting them to 10 recent topics and adding a new feature such as most popular topics this month or something along those lines which will have greater link life. Will that help?

thanks!

If these links are internal, then they will do no harm; but churning also means thesy won't do a lot of good.

Ensure that you have a comperensive site map - or a full HTML menu at the foot of the page; every page does not need to be directly accessible from the home page - but the indirect route shoud be logical, not too long, and reliable / permanent.
