Does anyone have any good ideas how to get traffic to your blog.

Considering there's a few million out there, and that's probably being conservative... find a topic your interested in... then write very well, and hope you have an audience that's willing to return, participate, and spread the word. If you can write with authority, chances are people/search engines will find you.

Now if you're doing this soley for adsense money, chances are you won't make much... unless your the next perezhilton or something - it's already an over saturated market. IMHO.
