Keyword in domain

I know I've seen this before, but which is preferable:

1.) www.keyword1-a-blah.com

2.) www.keyword1_a_blah.com

Question #2.

Is "a" a stop word, and should it be dropped from the domian?

underscores (_), are never permitted in Web Addresses. if you're talking about filenames than i beleive there's little in it but hyphens have the edge.

I'd drop the 'a' in the domain IMO.
