Hi

I habitually post good tight keyworded articles on my blog but it hardly gets any visitors. Do search engines get ignored by the search engines?

Would it be better if my blogs were hosted on my website or would it not solve anything?

I use a host with fantastico on it but I don't think that this supports Blogger as it only as Wordpress and a couple of blogs that I have never heard of before.

Many thanks

Hi

Sorry this is either a really stupid question or one that nobody knows the answer to.

Just in case please could I ask another question which may be just as obvious:

If I do host the blog on my site will the content appear on my google site map?

Many thanks

Gary

Matt Cutts from Googe recently stated that they do not treat blogs differently from any other site -- so the answer is a definite "No" -- search engines do not tend to ignore blogs. However, all the same promotional and marketing practices that apply to any site also apply to blogs.

Your Google Sitemap is completely under your control -- you decide what URIs should appear on it.
