Just a quick rant.
Why on earth do companies pay me to perform traditional seo on their site only to ignore my very first rule. Do not put your company name in every title tag. The about us and possibly at a strech the homepage are acceptable. Most of my clients have long 3 word names. They love titles like 'Buy a widget from WidgetsForSale.com'. It's a waste of a very important tag.
AAAAAHHHHH!

I recently fired a client because it was 100% clear that she thought my skills were equivalent to 'flipping burgers'. She was number one for her KW's and recieved PLENTY of leads from her site.
Her new site, cannot be indexed. (take my word for it), is virtually unusable and she is nowhere to be seen in any of the major SE's.
I'm sure she still thinks she knows best though, there's just no talking to some people..

With a rather large corporate site, I've compromised...
two types of pages were identified:
-targeting traffic (keywords opted)
-branding efforts (company name opted)
After long chats about the goal of certain pages whether lead generating or info based we've been able to split the site into those two content types.
I have a large corporate client who has never done an internet marketing in the past. Lots of sites with a ton of Flash.
They pay me to do SEO on these sites and only use about have of my recommendations.
The irony is they love my work.
They are getting more traffic than ever before and good listings in the SERPs
