Hi WebMasters...

Can anyone tell me if WebPositionGold uses the Google API to get ranking results or just search with querey strings?

I've heard rumours of Google banning IP addresses from ranking software interrogating it's search database via querey strings. Top Dog I know does this and actually breaks Google's terms of use.

Thanks

Hi Bingo, Welcome to WebmasterWorld. Here's a recent discussion on WebPosition Gold.

Position Checkers - are they worth it? [webmasterworld.com]

You can also do a site search [searchengineworld.com] for "webposition gold" and you'll find other related discussions. Hope you find them helpful.

Use it on AOL instead of Google as the results are very similar due to the fact that GG supply AOL! That way you wont get into trouble!
