I'm aware this may be a deep subject; if there's no simple answer, further resources would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Matthew
If you want more control over the syndication then this usually involves JavaScript. If you check out places like Topix, who offer feeds for use on your site, you can see that they have a JavaScript cut-and-paste for webmasters to use.
I am not sure if I am allowed to show URLs here? In addition I run such a site by myself but I think it would be against the TOS to mention it here. You could PM me for further information.

Does anyone know where some scripts might be? Or how about a PHP/asp/cfm script to get the RSS feed and process to the page?
I am working on a site I would like to be able to offer to related sites the ability to link to my site in this way. :)
Here's a useful one: a link which allows a visitor to add your RSS feed to their personal yahoo page. Just insert your own RSS URL into the bracketed part below.
<a href="http://add.my.yahoo.com/rss?url=http://[URL to your RSS XML]"><img src="http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/us/my/addtomyyahoo2.gif"></a>
