How do I link to RSS feeds from other sites?

Does anyone know how to use RSS and how to set it up?

I want to link some news feeds from other sites to mine but I am unclear as to how it works.

You can use a script - browser-based scripts (javascript) won't show up when search engines scan the page. Server-side scripts (php, asp) will embed the content in the page before it is served so that the content will get indexed.

Try hotscripts.com or similar sites for some starting points.

You must use a reader or "parser" that will take the RSS and reformat it for your site.

Feedwrapper, Feedroll etc are all some that "wrap" the rss in JavaScript so that you can display them on your site.

There are some programs that will allow you to parse feeds, try hotscripts and see what they have. We provide a simple parser on our site that is preconfigured for our feeds. Other sites might have similar tools as well.
