Please excuse me if i seem clueless about all of this rss feed stuff. I've done a little reading up on the subject but i still dont understand.

Here is what i'm looking to do. I'd like to have a feature on my site where i can allow other websites to post a list of articles that i have on my site. Basically it would be setup so the webmaster could put a code on his site and it would make a little box with a list of (5-10) articles.

Now i know i can use javascript for this but from what i've read that is useless when it comes to search engines. Is there any way of doing such a thing where search engines will be able to crawl these links? I guess this could be done with php but what if the site that is using my "feed" is in all html?

My second question is that of advertising. I have read the google TOS but am not sure of something. Is it ok to put a google ad in a feed that will be posted on another site? I'm not sure i'd really be looking to do this but it would be nice to have this option.

Thanks in advance for the help

google provides special ads that only go into feeds.
