RSS Feed is working, but now what?

RSS feed is working but has not helped to increase Google index cycle.

I have placed a RSS feed on my site to increase the Google index cycle time (i.e. fresh content from feed). But to date, Google still has not reduced the time between indexes? It still is ~12 days between indexes.

Is there something that I need to do to let Google know that there is now a RSS Feed on my site.

Do you have a link to the RSS Feed from your site?
Or is it just "there"....?

crawl times vary widely....G has to think your content is worth something before it crawls on a rapid basis...

example: if your site just re-hashes existing content, they know the information is already out there. Why would they place a presidence on yet another site with the same content?....they wouldn't

the age of a site <conjecture> also governs the cycle, new site, no trust, few inbound links, "you can wait"....</conjecture>

Do you fall into these areas?
