can't create a newsfeed that incorporates multiple publications

I'm creating a website using mambo. One site section is a newsfeed. My plan was to have a single newsfeed that would incorporate multiple publications. But I don't want to use a pre packaged feed like ones offered by newsisfree or news.yahoo because these feeds include pubs I don't want & omit pubs I DO want. I know I could pay for such an integrated feed but my site is no profit.

I've tried using an aggregator like Blogdigger, which works nicely except...it doesn't seem to display the publication name with ea. news item.

WOuld anyone have a workaround for this problem?

You would probably be violating the TOS of the feeds being offered. If you're using the free feeds you have to agree to their terms. It would depend on who is providing the feed, but I don't think you can re-syndicate a bunch of hand picked feeds from different services. Maybe I misunderstand your point here?

I'm not sure whether you misunderstand me or I you. I don't see how I'd be violating TOS. All I want to do is to take the existing rss feeds for 15 publications & instead of displaying them separately, I want to display them integrated together.

Blogdigger.com allows you to do precisely this at their site by creating a single group with aggregates multiple feeds. It also allows for the export of their rss feed for that group. But when their feed displays in my site it omits the publication names.

I'd like to find a (free or inexpensive) service that offers me the option of displaying those articles WITH pub names.

OK. That makes a bit more sense...sorry, it's Friday afternoon here. ;)

You're at the mercy of the source of the feed as to how much or little information they provide in the XML file. If they don't provide that data in the feed you'd have to look for another place that does.
