All of a Sudden, My Feed's Getting a Lot of Views

What's the significance of that?

I have a rather large website and a few weeks ago, I created a feed for the site's content. Last week, out of the blue, the feed showed up as the third highest "site entry page" after the index page and robots.txt with several hundred "site entries" during the course of the week. I've added the feed to My Yahoo and My MSN, and did some "pinging" but not nearly enough of it to account for this high number.

I assume this is good, but I can't translate this into any measurable results on my site. Has anyone else had this experience? What can be done to translate "feed views" into more tangible site statistics? Can I expect to see a higher level of site indexing / search engine rankings because of this?

Search for the content in the feed. Is someone using your feed for content generation and/or a scraper script?

Well, I do see some pages in scraper sites, but not an extraordinary number of them. Do scraper sites use the feeds as content generators?

Oh yeah. Feeds are easily parsable, accessible content and are typically auto-generated, never tracked, and forgotten about.

That screams "source for scraper scripts".

If someone (even just one person) subscribes to your feed using bloglines they come by (I believe) once per hour.

Does this present a dup content issue with the search engins then?
