There was a question from brickholius back on May 15, that had no replies:
"I was wondering how one could set up a system to search a series of RSS feeds and have those that meet certain criteria (keywords and excluding keywords) as well as remove duplicates and have them post on a php website. I am not talking about having the entire feed on my webpage just having a script automaticallly post those articles that meet the keywords rules. I am looking for an answer that doesnt involve monthly fees. My reason for wanting to do this is that there aren't specific enough rss feeds available for my needs. I need to create my own for specific topics by combining articles from multiple places. Since we cant scrape google news i dont know how to do this. Thanks. brickholius"
