How to disable 302 Redirect

How to disable 302 Redirect

Dear All,

This is my first post so don't mind if I didn't choose the right category.

My website was in pure html a while back with some slight PHP for form submission, things were going fine, though I was not ranked very high but still google used to visit my site frequently.

I then thought of shifting to joomla as a CMS, downloaded a template & created a sub directory /new on my root. So the new joomla template was accessible at [mysite.com...]

I then went even further and in my domain control panel I chose the "domain forwarding" & made a 302 redirect to [mysite.com...]

Now [mysite.com...] is redirecting to [mysite.com...]

& since then Google has stopped visiting my site, the cached version is also no longer available, my site was last cached on 18th Aug 2010.

When I went again to the domain control panel it doesn't show the redirection or the forwarding anymore so I can't disable it from there. But when I use some agents or SEO analysis software or websites they report a 302 redirect.

I ultimately had to change my registrar & shifted my domain to godaddy but the problem is still there. I tried deleting, changing or checking the .htaccess files but to no avail.

I dont know if I am allowed to put my site name here, if I am then I'll tell my site's name in my next post.

Please help me guys.

welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com], Abhinav!

perhaps the redirect was added to your .htaccess file in the root directory.
