How to validate an xml sitemap

Hi,

Can somebody please help with directions on how to validate a sitemap

I've read a lot on here but I can't seem to do it

First upload your xml sitemap.

Then go to Google and search for "sitemap validator". There are countless free validators available online.

Then simply enter in the url of your sitemap into the sitemap validator you choose and review the results it gives you.

thank you, but just a few minutes, I just noticed that google accepted my site-map so should I do as you say?

it says no errors, so am I fine, or should I still validate and then resubmit?

p.s. Just a note to say that I did as you said and ran it through a google validator and got a great message, it said I'm fine, all v alidated

no need to resubmit. If google found any error in your xml site map. It will show same in webmaster tool. So u can fix @ that time
