We're experiencing a problem of metadata/metatags in the web search results. The metadata of new urls are not being updated during the search results. Search engines are showing the even wrong metadata/metatags for very old urls (two year old), which were correct two months ago. The worst part is, if you will see the source view for those pages, the meta title, meta description and meta keywords are well according to what we specified. Butsearch engines are showing some different metadata for that urls.
Hundreds of urls are out of date in case of metatags. I normally wait one month to get index the correct metatdata for new urls, but after passed two months, I didn’t see any change.
Can I ask why search engines are showing this wrong information? Please let me know your suggestions and recommendation in this case. We are continuously updating the metadata for our pages, but search engine is not updating it.
Thanks for your earlier response.

Kashif

If you will use the operator (Site:yoursitename.com) in searh engine, you will get the meta data, which you specified on your pages. I agree that meta description beased on the user query, but title remain the same or some times it break. And this is not a case of one url, hundred of urls are victom with this problem. I've putted this question on different forums and talking to Yahoo, Bing but didn't get the proper answer. This is not as easy it looks.
