Sitemap VS Organic Traffic

Did you experience a decent jump in organic traffic once you submitted a Sitemap?

I have a site running drupal and I plan to upload the Sitemap Module. I am wondering how it will effect my site in a few weeks.

Should I expect a nice boost in traffic?

I saw no appreciable change due to adding or removing sitemaps, but that was last year.

Adding a sitemap would simply help Search engines know that the pages exist for them to crawl/index.
The ranking is purely dependent on other factors (on-page and off-page factors)

We didn't see a significant change either, but to be fair we weren't starting from square one. The sites in question were already doing very well. The sitemaps were added as a precautionary measure.

Well assuming all your pages arent indexed yet, has the sitemap submittal helped getting more pages indexed and therefore drawing more traffic to your site?

I am sort of starting from square one! This site is fairly new. 8 months old with less than 200 organic traffic/day! I am wondering if the number 200 will all of a sudden jump to 300 in a matter of days and weeks after submitting a sitemap.

p.s. I will update you guys the result once I do submit it. That will probably be in a few weeks though.
