PPC and Pay for Performance

What my understanding on PPC and Pay for Performance is:

PPC - Pay Per Click.
Pay for Performance - You pay only when a client order product or service.

Am I right?

But, On Yahoo! Product Submit Center
(http://productsubmit.adcentral.yahoo.com/sspi/us/index2)
It says:

Pay for Performance -Inclusion in Yahoo! Product Search and buyer’s guide pages is based on a cost-per-click price that varies by product category. You pay only for leads directly to your site.

How come a 'cost-per-click' can be said as 'Pay fo Performance'? It is confused, or Yahoo try to fool us?

Definitely sounds like a term confusion or Yahoo thinks it is big enough to change a terms established meaning...hmmm...LOL

It's all in the way they define language.

Often, Overture uses the term 'lead' to mean a click. Not my definition of a lead, but it's often theirs.

Pay for Performance in the Adwords/Overture/yahoo scheme of things is exactly same as PPC (Pay Per Click)

Just an interesting way of saying it (imo)
