Inexpensive PPC SE's for testing?

Hi,

I'm thinking of joining a PPC game. I haven't done that before. I want to test my conversion ration. I've decided that Adwords or Overture are too expensive.

I'd like to try out $10 or $20 at start. I'm thinking of bidding $0.01 for a click. That's 1000 clicks for $10 if I'm right...

I checked, goclick ... They show the bidding prices, that's great. But how do I know how much traffic will I get for that particular sum of money?

I can check searches per month at #*$! or at overture, if I was advertising at overture. But how to check how much traffic would I get from smaller PPC SE's?

I can see of course the bidding prices and if someone is bidding there that means they definately get some traffic. But how do I know, maybe some guy is bidding my keyword for 1 cent and is getting one click per week? I don't want to wait years to spend my $10 bucks, I want quick and cheap results.

Could you guys suggest me any PPC SE's that are very cheap to bid and also get some traffic?

P.S. I'm total newb in PPC's, so if I don't get everything right, correct me please.

If you advertise on Findwhat, your ads will show
on Searchfeed also. That's where the majority of
their listings come from.

So as I believe, at Overture and Google it's possible to (at least) basically find out what the traffic is going to be. Others, smaller ones are just a cat in a bag.

If you guys know any more great PPC search engines for advertisers (I mean low bidding prices and good results), please post them here.

If you have a "cash cow" and don't want to reveal it to the public, then please contact me anonymously.

Also, can Alexa toolbar give some idea about the traffic that PPC SEs receive?

Since you're so new you just might want to look at all the smaller(I think people here call them 2nd tier) PPCs. By smaller I mean they're not Google or Overture.

Thats correct I listed all the major second tier engines I could think of off hand.

Its not that I don't like Kanoodle but I've heard bad things about them from people starting out feeling like they basically threw away their money.

Nobody listed any other engines so I must've been complete in my listing.

Sure. I have a PDA website. I bidded for 3 cents per click on such terms such as Pocket Pc etc.
According to AWSTATS(the program I use) the traffic did come to my site, stayed on average for 317 seconds and the same day i noticed an increase in my newsletter subscription and also many people who left the page went via my sales affiliates link. I.e. to buy things from Amazon ETC. Cant wait to see if they made purchases, fingers crossed.
So after day 2 now im very impressed with the qaulity.
If you want more information, please message me. Maybe we can have a conversationa and share experiences with PPC engines.
I was also only charged for US, UK and Austrailian and Canadian traffic.

The problem with genie knows is that I have head that their XML feed is a common sight on pay to surf programs.

You really shouldn't be using 2nd PPC for testing. For one their conversion rate is usually far lower than Adwords or Overture. Secondly, you will only get traffic from common rather han more specific search terms.

I would say that G is probably your best bet. It's $5 for account activation and then you post-pay, so you can control your daily budget and only spend $20 or less. The min is $0.05 a click, but you get what you pay for. I have ran almost the exact same campaign on G and on kandoodle, brainfox, and snap at the same time. I had a 5% conversion rate with G and a big zero with the others. That was using the same keywords, same ad copy, and the minimum bid amount. The ROI was worth it with adwords, and with the others it was obviously not, as the ROI was 0.
