Overture - bid in £ or $

Can you pay in $ but target the UK market?

Sorry if this has been asked before but...

As a UK company that wants to target the UK only, Overture has a minimum of £0.10 per click however I note from other posts that people have been bidding $0.12 and therefore assume that the minimum in the states is $0.10

With the current exchange rate at around 1.8:1 ($/£) if I could bid in dollars, targeting the UK market only, and bid $0.10 then my actual cost would be around £0.06 per click.

Can this be done?.

Does it work?.

Any other comments / advise.

I "think" this is NOT possible, as currency is strictly the country currency, so £ for UK etc etc.

Shaks right.. If you run ads on overture UK your billed in £'s even when your in the US,

One thing to bear in mind though is that Overture US may have plenty of UK targeted traffic that might be worth buying, although the audience is primarily US based, how many people travel to the States on business, but use the internet on their travels..... (At the end of February, quite a few I'd think).

And as you said, at 6p a visitor, it's good for a punt.

A fair number of people in the UK use MSN.com - so worthwhile for that too. However, realise that US editors will not always include terms that are targetted at a UK market only.
