I heard some nice things about Adbrite, and i was wondering, is the publisher program 100% free? how exactly does adbrite work?

It is free and works similar to adsense in that you can have ads up and running on your site almost immediately and will be paid per click.

However, it has some huge benefits. If you don't like the ads they are showing you can always go for pre-approved ads only. You can set your own pricing, usually based on a per-day or per-week basis. Yep, you can set your own prices and you have your own info page on adbrite displaying these prices as well as any other information you want to give to potential advertisers. If someone clicks the Your Ad Here link on your page they are taken to this page.

I have just started using adbrite. I recommend showing network ads in the beginning and letting adbrite price your ad spaces for you, just to get some exposure and some information about cost per click and impressions available to advertisers.
