Recommended ways to make money from RSS feeds

Recently I noticed that I have many users polling several RSS feeds of my sites, and less reading e-mail newsletters that contain similar information.

Therefore, I have been looking around to find which are the best alternatives to monetize RSS feeds.

Since I already have placed AdSense ads since 2003, I have submitted a request to Google to join AdSense for feeds but my sites did not get accepted nor an explanation to why they were refused.

I also looked at Pheedo, but it seems they do not accept publishers not based in the US.

I wanted to apply to other agencies, but first I would like to hear a few recommendations.

I am considering apply to Kanoodle, OrangeFeed, FeedBurner. Any other agency worth trying?

I also use RSS 1.0 feeds with encoded HTML item description tags. Is this an appropriate format? Would another format be more acceptable to agencies placing ads in RSS feeds?

Any other details that would be good to know in advance? TIA
