Miva Fake Clicks

I tried miva for the first time and I was shocked. 70% of their traffic doesn't even show up in my stats and most of their traffic comes from dubious third party sites. They claim that their traffic is targeted but 'hundreds' of visitors didn't even generate one single sale... I never paid more than 0.05 per click and ROI is zero.

Is anybody out there that had a ROI with MIVA?

I have the impression that their business model is built on click fraud. Even if they don't generate the click themselves they knowingly allow and tolerate fraud and don't hesitate to charge their clients for it :(

It is a shame that a public company can get away with this. If they would charge only for real clicks they would probably have to shut down...

The sad thing is that Miva is one of the bigger ppc se's. I heard Kanoodle is even worse... So is it a waste of time to deal with the smaller ppc's? It seems that Google and overture are the only worth dealing with.

I am really curious if anybody is able to get a ROI with miva. Please post your experience here! Is Miva really a Waste of Bandwidth?

It was a waste of our time and money. We dealt with a few of the smaller ppc providers and the conversion rate was next to zero. We stopped with them and focused on the big two and it has made a difference.

I would love to hear from anyone who has had any success on the smaller ppc providers. To me there doesn't seem to alot of success stories there.

All you need is Yahoo, Google, MSN, and Kanoodle's Context Target product. If you use those sites there is not one top level distribution partner missed.
Google, MSN, Yahoo, CNN, MSNBC, Marketwatch, USAToday, Fox.com, Nascar.....

Not much more you need.

Miva has fallen on hard times and are now even using download parasites now to create impressions. Stay away from them.

We've had the exact same experience with Miva. Thousands of visitors, no sales. We generallly see about a 2% visitors to sales ratio in the industries we are in.

You're really seing a positive ROI with Kanoodle?

We get it with Google, YOverture, and MSN, & Ask.com is marginal.

We had dumped their keyword stuff. Same junk that Miva was sending. I was contacted by my rep when they launched it and he persuaded me to test one of my clients on their new Content ads. I think it has been a couple of years since i have been running it and so many of my clients have benefited. There is no point to even attempt keywords with them, not even for the cheap bids. Stay with the content and buy the big sites like MSNBC, USAToday, Nascar....etc

I can state otherwise that I use Miva and get a good return. We spend a fair amount of money with them and they provide a ROI.

I just shut down my Miva campaigns today. They used to work for us (at a rate much lower than Google/Yahoo) but over the last 3 months our costs and clicks skyrocketed without any increase in sales. Bye Bye.

They just appointed a new CEO and CFO last week, according to the wire, maybe they can right the ship?

As far as other third tiers go, we have good success with Ask.com, but because of the low volume it is not a huge revenue source for us. They seem to be focused on long term track unlike Kanoodle and Miva. They are providing good results and trying to build loyalty.

MSN is okay so far, but working with their system is so miserable that I hate to admit the fact that we are doing okay with them.

i disagree with saying kanoodle is not in it for the long haul. They are building out their content network at a huge pace. They swiped dow jones/WSJ.com from yahoo...unlike miva who has done nothing to help themselves.

Hey the better for my clients for all of you guys give up on people like kanoodle.

My company is partnered with everyone, but we decided to launch our own ad network April 1 because we are able to monetize international traffic, in particular Asia and South America.

We have great relations with MIVA - the US side is easier to deal with than the UK side.

So Miva US seems that is not converting. How about Miva Uk, DE, etc? I realize it's impossible to be a huge difference, but the network is different, isn't it?
