Direct Adwords to cj.com or tradedouble merchants

When creating Adwords ads that link directly to cj.com or tradedoubler merchants is it ok to just put the link URL from the supplied html? I notice that the supplied HTML also has an invisible image. Will the tracking still work, and payments made with just the link URL and not the image?

Well I don't know about tradedoubler but CJ works fine without the impression image. I have used just the link for years without a problem (not on Adwords though).
