How do you get sponsored links on their site?

Hi,

Can anyone advise me how to start PPC advertising on tripadvisor? I have searched their site which returns information on contextual advertising, and free hotel listings, but not PPC. I have tried emailing them but got no response.

I believe tripadvisor is owned by AskJeeves, do I maybe have to advertise through AdWords search network to get listed?

The 'sponsored links' just look like standard affiliate links. I suspect you would have to run a fairly heavy-weight travel site before they would consider working as an affiliate for you.

Just in case anyone is curious about this in the future..... I had no help from TripAdvisor about how to have sponsored links on their site, only how to do a link exchange system.

Ask Jeeves said they did not own TripAdvisor and Google said they were not part of their Search Network. However, after I switched my Search Network on in Adwords, my analysis software reports that traffic is being referred from TripAdvisor from my AdWords campaign.

So in a nutshell if you want sponsored links to appear on TripAdvisor, use AdWords Search Network.

TripAdvisor must receive a lot of traffic - good for them. It's always good if an online advertiser can manage to drill down to a vertical level that converts. An affiliate relationship would be good to have.

Before I started using content with AdWords my ad was appearing on TripAdvisor.

I wrote AdWords to ask how TA's forum was considered as "search". They never responded and shortly thereafter the AW ads disappeared all together.

Now that I do advertise in the "content" section I wish my ad was there.

Do you see them on CPM by site options in adwords?

So does TripAdvisor use Adwords or Ask? It did not look like Google but I did not do a comprehensive review just a quick glance.
