I'm having a problem preparing data feeds to all my partnerships – bizrate, dealtime, etc. Basically, each partner of mine requires I send them a custom data feed that takes me anywhere from 30-60 minutes to prepare, each! Currently, I keep an excel spreadsheet of my product data and when it's time to prepare a fresh data feed, I open my main spreadsheet, remove the columns that are not needed, rename the column headers that remain, create any mandatory headers and fill in the mandatory data, go through the sheet and remove items that never sell, save the file in the required format, then ftp it up…Then I repeat the process for my other 5 partners. The entire process can take me several hours, and as a result, I limit sending fresh data feeds because it takes too much time.
There has to be some alternative to manually preparing data feeds. Any suggestions?
