My Pinterest "domain page" has suddenly quit working

I'm not really a Pinterest user but I have a link on the home page of my site that goes to a Pinterest page with several hundred (if not thousand) pins of images from my domain that people have made (URL: https://www.pinterest.com/source/example.com/). This has quit working in the past month, instead it redirects to something more like an "image search" using a keyword from my domain (https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=domain:example.com), and no images at all from my domain. Not happy.

Does anyone who follows Pinterest know what's going on with them? I put in a complaint about this on July 22; on July 29 I get a canned response back saying they're "experiencing a higher than normal volume" of support questions at this time. Yeah I can see why.

I'm aware I could always curate a Pinterest page of images from my domain but I don't have the energy or the (p)interest to do this.

Oh yeah, and if this isn't bad enough, I also notice the Pinterest URL that I have ALL OVER my site that allows visitors to make a pin of my site logo (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/button/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.EXAMPLE.com%2F&media=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.EXAMPLE.com%2FMYPINTERESTID_pinterest.gif&description=MY%20SITE%20NAME) has also quit working out of the blue, and redirects to the Pinterest home page.

Mod's note: Sorry for the edits but it is easier to discuss URL issues if everyone can see the URLs. We always use example.com to anonymize domains because that is the purpose of that domain while "mydomain" is owned by someone who probably regrets all the accidental bogus "backlinks" and notoriety. ;)

I question the value of that link personally and would avoid trying to assist image 'borrowing' in any costume. Of course my opinion does not help with what you are trying to do.

If you visit Pinterest, do they offer a new way to find your images? I would look for a NEW button link if they still have a tool for that - the URL posted may be broken because of the use of http: protocol - or they may have made other changes. I would suggest looking at their site for what is new for interactive tools you want.

Sorry I wasn't aware of the mydomain thing, sounds like it would be very valuable though if it gets all those backlinks, however unintentional.

I looked in their Help Center and didn't see anything to replace either of these broken links, maybe it's there somewhere though.

I just removed the "domain page" link, I still have that other "share" link on almost every page on my site though (as a little button beside the Facebook and Twitter buttons like many sites do). It would be a huge hassle to modify it but what do they care I guess.
