Pinterest had announced last month that it was going to make it possible for "pinners" to start buying directly from collections on the site.
Now, it's rolling to Apple device users in the US, and if you see a photo with the blue "buy it" button, pinners can buy the product seen in the image. Obviously, this means pinners no longer need to go hunting down that product elsewhere on the Internet.
Although this is early days, for webmasters and site developers this means an opportunity for an additional revenue stream opportunity. If you're using Shopify or Demandware you can start the process now. Otherwise, it seems we'll have to wait, but should register to get on the wait list. [
