I wanted to make a way to post a classified on craigslist from my private portal, and streamline it so I don't have to go through all those steps every time.

but it seems to generate an authentication code for every posting.

any idea how to it? has anybody figured out a way to access the craigslist "API" in this way?

Just a FYI, I'm pretty sure craigslist doesn't want you doing that. (If you already know this, then just ignore this friendly heads-up. :)

Somewhat related question from the craigslist FAQ [craigslist.org]:

Can I repost ads on craigslist as part of a for-profit Web operation?

For example, if I run a fee-based service which gets stuff posted on multiple websites, can I also send those postings to craigslist?

We don't normally allow that, since we feel that's contrary to our idea of community spirit, based on a lot of feedback. People are antsy about any kind of for-profit postings, particularly in housing.

well, I understand that it could be used for obnoxious purposes by scammers and spammers and all those people on ebay. but I want to use it for a legitimate purpose, so I think I'm clean. I just want to put it on my own personal and PRIVATE (on my LAN only) "quick stuff" portal.
