Security and bug fixes on mobiles phones are often patched reasonably quickly, but the FTC and FCC are asking how these fixes are reviewed and released, and, importantly, how quickly, or if at all.
Sometimes, i'll wait many, many weeks before the update comes through. That just seems too long a period for a vulnerability to be available to exploit, especially as smartphones contain so much detail of people's lives.
