Opera to make Public Offering

Opera Software reports a more than 100% increase in revenues, and announces that is ready for public listing at the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Interesting one.

I'm a big fan of the Opera browser but I'm not sure if I'd be keen to buy any shares because your average Joe Schmoe internet user has never heard of them or their browser and may never do.

Having said that, their browser for phones and handhelds seems to be catching on, so maybe they will gain brand recognition that way.

Nor have they heard of Juniper... but that doesn't mean anything [quotes.nasdaq.com]. ;-)

I think you're right about phones and handhelds. That may become a bigger market (here in the US) soon.

Yep, they'll do well in the market for mobile phone browsers, that is a market set to grow.
