i thought all this stuff had finished, but apparently not, i landed on a hilarious website today (Opera 11.52) and got this message:

example.com takes advantage of features not supported in obsolete browsers.
To take advantage of example.com, please upgrade to one of the officially supported browsers listed below.


Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and above

Netscape 6.0 and above

Mozilla 1.0 and above

ps. i do know how to use opera and send an IE user agent instead - however that's not the point.

this site lost me as a visitor (if it cares)

Got an RFP not too long ago that listed all the browsers they required support for and it was the same thing.

IE 5,6
Netscape 4

It didn't mention Chrome or Firefox. I was surprised they didn't fax it to us.

Their fax software probably doesn't work anymore on their wireless connection :)
