301 redirect working fine in Opera, IE - but not Firefox?

Couldn't figure out why it wasn't working.

With a 301, I am replacing two pages with two new pages in another directory. One page worked fine all along, the other absolutely would not. I switched them around, took one out, then the other - the same one simply refused to redirect.

Took a look in IE - presto. Opera also. Why will this 301 not redirect in just Firefox? And why just the one page exclusively? There's nothing unique about it that I can figure.

It's a very simple and short file path:
redirect 301 /sub-directory/file.htm http://www.example.com/sub-directory/text/file.html

Flush your browser cache(s). Unless you've got browser-sniffing server-side code, redirects are not browser-dependent. But if you've got a copy of the old pages cached in your browser, then the browser won't send the request to the server, and so there will be no redirect response.

Shoulda figured that myself, but yes, that does it. I refreshed, restarted, went back and forth, but did not clear the cache. Can't remember the last time that I ran into something so pernicious about not refreshing.
