I would like to touch on a point that is often contentious, but almost always misunderstood: "browser speed."
In everyday use, browser speed needs to be measured by more than "rendering quickness." Other factors.. many other factors, are equally, and perhaps even more, important.
Opera's new Notes feature is tremendously useful to me and to my style of surfing. I could list dozens of examples but would still fall far short of describing how this feature has "sped-up" my surfing.
Another less than obvious "speed" enhancement: I keep groups of related sites saved in Hotlist folders. Those most frequently accessed, I keep loaded on the Personal Bar. When I want to read the news at my favorite tech sites, I right click on my Tech News folder, select open, and begin reading as seven tech/news websites are opened simultaneously in seperate panes. Speedy? No.. BLAZING!
If I want to send a article or news "snippet" to friends, I just highlight the text, right-click, and select send by mail. No need to "copy & paste," Opera does it for me. Very sweet, very "speedy."
Sort email every which way but loose.. including threaded converstations. More speed, more convenience.
"Ctrl + Alt + V" - send any page, even local files, to the W3 Html Validator. Very handy... and for my work day, a speed enhancement.
Alternate Style Sheets? Debug with Outline? Show Page Elements? Very "speedy" when debugging a layout.. I've even added my own custom style sheets... including a few designed to flag certain SEO tactics. Speedy? Useful? You bet!
The Notes features is a great addition.
Its great for keeping a sites submission information for when you have to submit to that massive list of almost-but-not-quite-useless directories.
..and a million other things that I haven't discovered yet:)
I just fail to see the benefit there but that makes 2 people I respect now that think it's good, so why?
Am I just missing the point of this feature or what?

Going to IE or Moz is like throwing out an anchor - all you do is wait for pages to load.
The notes feature allows anything you enter there to be pasted into a web form by a right-click menu - this is d***ed useful
It also allows me to take notes on stuff as I browse - easier than having a text editor open.

Mozilla has this feature as well - I had my middle button mapped to open links in background tab.
Having said that, it is somewhat slower to complete the loading

I don't think you can link the notes to a URL (not that I have found, anyway)
Its great for collating information as you are browsing. If you are data mining, say 'CSS Information', then browse away. When you find information you need, select it and do CTRL-SH-C and it is automatically added as a new 'Note'.
Nothing you couldn't do another way - but its much quicker.

To fully realise the power of Notes, you need to keep in mind that each Note entry can be editted and amended at anytime. You could rightfully describe NOTES as a "super-notepad-on-steroids-file-manager-information-organizer." Actually, this may be a bit of an understatement. It's searchable too!
And as 4eyes "notes," all this functionality is integrated INTO the browser!
Right Click functionality supreme. Opera 7.11 has the most detailed, dynamic, right click options I've ever seen. "Paste and Go," "Go to Url" (highlight any 'non-hyperlinked' web address, right click... and zoom! No need to cut n' paste to the address bar.
Not shift-control-click they don't. You have to have the right kind of mouse - no logitechs will work - only rudimentary ms drivers will.
However, now that Opera has the 'wand' for passwords, and the new style sheet and notes features ther really is no competitino for me anymore.
As already stated, its not the speed of rendering a page that matters, its the overall speed of your browsing experience.
