Weird Opera gesture

that I wish I could reproduce at will

I'm using Opera 7.20. I'm a big fan of gestures, and I'm frequently use the right-left button clicks to go back a page. Once and a while (generally at least once a day) when I do this, Opera will actually change to a different tab. I figure my timing is off on the clicks somehow, and Opera's seeing something besides the right-left clicks. But I can't do it on purpose.

Is there a mouse button gesture that switches tabs?

Could it be the "right click + scrollwheel"-combo?

Have any of you ever used Sensiva? I did for a while, but like all gadgets I soon forgot about it. Now, being new to opera, and immediately wondering about that action I'd love to have a gesture for but where there is none, I wonder if they can co-exist.

And can you train new gestures into opera like you can with sensiva?

If you go to "Preferences->Mouse and keyboard" and then edit the mouse setup you can change the existing gestures as you please, and also add new gestures for any command you'd like in any area of the UI you like.

Hmm, but I can't really create my own gestures, like in sensive. for example a S shape, or a circle with a diagonal cut across, or diagonal gestures and the like. It looks like it's only compinations of straight lines at 90 degree angles.

Ok, this is driving me nuts: How can I set up a gesture (ZOOM) for middle click+ wheel scroll? Having to reach for the Ctrl key kinda defeats the purpose!

Back to the original question:

Not really, but there is one that minimizes the tab you are currently in (right button held while going down and then left mith the mouse), so it may look as if you had switched tab.

Excellent! I wasn't aware of that option. Thanks very much. Apparently I'm somehow brushing the scrollwheel while I'm clicking. I will be using that a lot now, on purpose.

Thanks for the suggestion (and for getting the thread back on track). I'm using a trackball, so inadvertant mouse movement isn't an issue.
