After Debian, Apache HTTP Server, and PostgreSQL my favourite best in class greatly appreciated long used webdev software is Redis. I sincerely ‘heart’ antirez (Salvatore Sanfilippo); the man is a true OS rockstar; extremely approachable, engaging, and pleasant.

All of which leads into his announcement that Redis 6 RC1 [antirez.com] is available :)
Note: Redis 6 GA (General Availability) is expected to be released in three to six months.

I don’t know how many WebmasterWorld members use Redis but I find it an increasingly valuable tool. Much of what/how I do bot identification/mitigation and contextual delivery would be difficult/impractical/impossible for a sole WebDev without it.

Note: I’ve promised myself that I won’t play with new possibilities dancing in my head until the New Year... holidays are holidays or something...

Yes I like redis too. I haven't used it much, but one can really do something amazing stuff with it. Redis 6 looks like it may amaze even more.

And... drumroll...

Redis 6.0.0 GA is out! [antirez.com]
Note: GA == General Availability aka stable release.

I’ve been playing about with RC1 for a few months and have found, given my architecture and requirements, that it extends/improves site backend capability nicely. Will be rolling out over coming month.

Do so love to get into the works and muck about :)
