Hello people, I am having a strange issue.
I have an error 404 with the URL

https://example.com/product/ak-12345000000-international-dt-466-widget-applications/www.example.com/

As you can see the domain name is at the end, how is this possible and what causes it?

Someone put it there, either accidentally or by design. If it was someone else, not connected with your site, you can happily ignore the 404: you are not responsible for URLs that have no existence outside of someone else’s fevered imagination. It only becomes your problem if it appears that something on your site is creating this bogus URL. And so far, you have not given nearly enough information to figure out if that is the case.

The question I have is, where is this error seen? Is it reported in GSC or some data report or are you seeing this error in your access logs?

Is it in YOUR LOGS? If it is not there then it is nothing to be concerned about.

Incomplete ... meaning the url is not on your site and likely is a bad link from an external source.

Sorry about that ... hit enter too quick!
