Phishing, shared hosting and SEO

Hi Web Experts! :)

My site is on a shared host. There are 170 other websites on the same server. One of these websites is a phishing site.

I warned my host. They tell me they are aware and are trying to clean up the site. But after 20 days the same problem recurs with the same site.

My question is this: What is the impact on Google for my own site (SERPs) as there is a phishing site on the same server?

1) Google understands that the phishing site is not mine. So the impact is minimal and I should not worry?

2) The impact is important and I have to insist to change server, or even I have to change hosting provider?

Thank you very much in advance.

Someone just told me that unless I have links to this phising site or backlinks from it, it really does not matter. So sharing IP with bad neighbors do not matter much with SEO...

True or False?

All together now: Google Is Not Stupid. They know there is such a thing as shared hosting, and that plenty of unrelated sites can have the same IP.

Now, if every time your site changes IPs, the phishing site concurrently changes to the same IP again, and this happens three or four times in a row, then the search engine will start to get suspicious.

:: idly wondering how long it can take a host to "clean up" a site, when they have the option of simply pulling the plug ::
