Hello

How to redirect a domain name to other server in other country by URL like

www.newdomain.by redirect to http://www. whatever.com/cms/eng.

Intention is to register a domain name in Belarussia (without hosting) and then to redirect it to main com domain corresponding language subfolder.

I guess DNS record redirection is not sufficient?

Any ideas? Is it possible?
Thanks

Too many unanswered questions.

In your example, do you want the visitor's address bar to change, or did you mean that you want to serve content living at example.com/some-directory-or-other ?

What kind of server are you on?

Where does the DNS currently point to?

What do you mean by "other server in other country"? For most countries, most of the time, there's no necessary connection between the country code / tld in the domain name, and the physical location of the server. (There are exceptions, but I seriously doubt that Belarus is among them.)

If you simply want a redirect, with the user's address bar changing, it's very simple. Details will depend on your server. But you'll need to point the DNS to some place that holds your redirect code. That means the site has to exist in some rudimentary way, or there won't be anything for the DNS to point to.

Hello

Thanks for giving directions. Main com website is hosted with single IP. Some extra name aliases are free ASFAIK.
1. I'd like to register a domain name at [example.com...]
They provide DNS direction but can it be also something more like DNS redirection with language subfolder? I understand that it needs kind of a script but may it be included in DNS service protocol or a DNS can only point to IP number without any extras?
2. If DNS IP number without any extensions is single options, then obviously it can't be the same IP to main server and different IP with redirection script is required. Or can it be an server name alias (not IP number)?
3 Name on address row is not important, it may change or not, just how it's easier to implement.

I hope I could provide some more details of available options. Thanks a lot.
