Hosting a blog on a different server?

How is this done?

Hello I have a website and I am trying to add a blog to it. The blog will be www.my site.co m/blog/

However the hosting company I have states that the service is only for low traffic html websites.

Is there a way I can host the www.my site.co m/blog/ with another hosting company so I can use Wordpress or another blogging platform.

wordpress.com will host your blogs using your own domain. not sure that you can point it to a directory though.
but you might be able to point it to a subdomain instead: blog.mysite.com
