3 Blog posts created lots of backlinks- A Problem?

Hi
i recently posted a couple of posts on other peoples blogs directly related to the theme of my website

From these few posts, when i check with site explorer they seem to have created lots and lots of links going back to my site, maybe even hundreds, very quickly and in a short time span. I have recently noticed a fall in my google search ranking, i don't know if this could be connected.

Why have so many links been created all from just a couple of posts.?
My worry is that such a sudden increase in lnks all from the same blog sources may appear suspicious to google.

Additionally when i check some of the new blog links, i can't even see my post on that page.

Is this a normal occurance when posting on blogs? The blogs were good quality ones on the same theme as my site(they were wordpress ones i think)

The blogs themselves may be syndicating their content, or being scrapped by other sites. This could explain the sudden increase in inbound links.
