Anyone had trouble installing expression web on vista?

Gives error 1406 no one can solve it

A friend wants to install MS web expression 1 on his vista home premium system and gets error 1406 on installation. So he takes it to a major computer store which just happened to have an MS rep there, and not even they can install it.

We have looked on the net for an answer, and there just doesn't seem to be one, many people seem to have the same problem, but no one (apart from the scam registry cleaner sites) can give an answer or help.

Its crazy a microsoft product unable to be installed on a microsoft machine

Anyone encountered this before?

its for reasons like this i switched to mac ... good luck is all i can say :)

There is now an update on the MS EW website for people who are having problems with vista.
