IP Address vs. URL

Why does the IP Address work and not the URL?

Hi All,

One of my sites is hosted on 3 different servers. I made some routine css changes to the code and tolled out as usual. Since then, the site only works if I type in each specific ip address directly. If I type in the domain name itself the site throws an error and redirects to the homepage.

Has anyone seen this before?
How do I fix it?

Did you reverse the changes? Suspect path or dns issues.
