I would like to create a template site, recommendations please

Hello, I would like to create a site where template & graphic designers can showcase their work by uploading screen shots and those who are in need of templates can locate them. I do not want to be a middle person processing orders, I just want to put it up there as a resource and if I need to cover expenses, charge for maybe banner advertising or put up google adsense.

Can you give me recommendations for software that might do the job? Something that might let the designer tag their products or include a demo link would be nice also

Is seams like a good idea, Software recomendations are not at all easy for this one. My suggestion would be to browse hotscripts.com and test drive as many CMS systems as possible. Another option (this is a grey area)would be to look at all competing sites that offer the same service and try and work out what they are using. Another good place to look would be opensourcecms.com
