Bookmark at the bottom of the index page

Hi,

When i am using the site:xyz.com (operator) on the search bar then the first link of home page getting bookmark at bottom. Please let move the importance of this.

Hi,
When i am using site:xyz.com in Google search then we will get x link of xyz.com. The first link of xyz.com is home page and in first link we get Cached - Similar pages - Note and include these i am getting bookmark also only for home page.

Please let me know that is it good or bad if it display with bookmark. If it is good then y? or if it is bad then y?

Is your page first in the Google results or is the first page of the site indexed by Google the index.htm page?

If you're first in the Google search then it is extremely good, as long as it is what people type to find what you have to offer (with the right search term, any page on the web can come up first).

But, if it's just your index page that is being brought out by Google then it is OK, but not as good. Google should index each page and they all should come up with relevant searches (you might see them hidden with "similar pages" links). One of my sites if you Google "Real Name" of the person it is about, 2 pages from my site come up on the first page (results 1-10) and 3-5 other pages will be on pages 2-5 in the Google results.

If only your splash page is being indexed then I'd suggest submitting a site map to Google (some hosting companies will do this for you) and having Google perform "practice" spider crawls though your site to see why other pages aren't being indexed by Google. (I forgot the link to this, though).
