I have a blog using blogger.com and the only back up I do is copy-paste to a word document which I save to my pc at home.
I've read about backup programs that I can download, but am thinking about just having an exact same blog title & content using wordpress.
I read some people got their blog deleted automatically or they delete their blog by accident, So just in case one blog got deleted, I still have another blog and can just redirect my domain name to that existing blog.
So my question is,
Is it OK to have two blogs ( blogger and wordpress) that has mirror content ?
eg : [myblog.blogspot.com...] and [myblog.wordpress.com...]
Will this cause my blog be listed as spam ?
I think I've read about this somewhere, that having a mirror content could result in both blogs be excluded from google search, is this true ?
So now I hesitate to mirror my content for backup purposes.
Help ? :)

This is for a personal blog , btw, not for business/work/etc.
Although, there's this popular blog that uses both blogger and buzznet.com (mirror content)
and redirect the domain to buzznet.com
eg.
www.popularblog.com
webpage redirects to [popularblog.buzznet.com...]
and has a mirror content in [popularblog.blogspot.com...]
and when I search "popularblog" at google.
the top 3 search results points to the buzznet page and blogger/blogspot page
But this is a very popular blog, so that might be a special case ?
So, should I just go ahead and create a mirror content of my blog ? or not ?

You might get dinged with a duplicate content penalty as I'm sure you are aware which could affect SERP positioning.
Blog or not... duplicate content is still an infraction against G'z defacto rules.

though I don't know what serp positioning is nor what G'z defacto rules is. will google that.
I don't know much about computer/internet stuff, and just wanna make sure if it's ok to create mirror content, read somewhere that it's not ok, but some blogs have mirror content and are doing fine,
So I'm a bit confused.
