Microsoft has announced a new logo for its Microsoft Edge browser, [webmasterworld.com] which is based upon the Chrome engine, and the browser is due on general availability on January 15, 2020.

If you're an early adopter you can download a release candidate for Windows and macOS.

Download it here [microsoftedgeinsider.com...]

I wonder how the new one will differ from the present Edge? At work I use Chrome mainly but Edge for Microsoft Ads.
At home I use Edge almost all the time.

I've already got Edge on Win 10, so I assume it'll be updated automatically.
I'm looking forward to trying it, but i'm not going to take a chance with the beta, i'll wait, it's not long now.

I'm using the Beta and it works great!

I have to agree... seems pretty fast!
it appears to load the page before ads start appearing and doesn't do the whack-a-mole paragraph shifting (in my case anyway...)

Does anyone know how to disable JavaScript in this browser?
Perhaps I'm looking too hard for the 'beta' version of instructions...

I've been an IE and Edge person for years but utilizes FF with a plugin to turn off and on scripting for nefarious purposes...lol

So far, so good, seems to work well for me, just checking all my sites render correctly:-)

Yes, click the lock icon that's in the address bar, then click the COG icon for Site Permissions.

Do you have to do that for each site individually?

Or is ther a global option to?

Saw the design and the first thing that came into my mind was Firefox ... LOL

Why would you suppose that is?

Hehehe ... It doesn't work on Win Vista :-)

Nor my Win 10 mobiles!

Oh well, 'tis a good job some browsers are built for senile idiots like me.

Oh, BTW, I am still actually liking it however, for whatever reason on the one machine I have installed it, it seems to take quite some time to start, otherwise fine.
