Microsoft Turns On Yammer For Office 365 Business Customers

Today, I’m excited to announce that we are activating Yammer for every eligible Office 365 tenant—new and existing—without requiring additional action on the part of admins. This allows all Office 365 customers to gain the full benefits of Yammer.

And, probably, to compete with Facebook's Facebook at Work. [webmasterworld.com]

I'll be interested to see who Microsoft rolls that out to.

I never thought anyone would even consider using Facebook at Work, but apparently there are big companies who prefer the ease of using a system that everyone already knows how to operate, regardless of the fact that they're putting all their communications on FB's servers. You'd be doing the same with Yammer, but more companies have already heavily invested in that platform and there are years of trust in place.
