I need to record a few seconds of audio on Android and if possible IOS. Mosync allows me to create Android apps on the fly and Xcode project so I can continue on a Mac.

I'm stuck with Mosync for non-important-reasons-at-the-moment, I know there are other tools but so far is important to TRY to stay on this platform. Mosync was born with great hopes but is currently on pause and the website forum kinda abandoned and forgotten.

Research allowed me to build things in the past that many people said "not possible" so I don't loose hope yet. Searched on the web and found very little info and code, the piece I tried didn't work so perhaps another developer had luck with this. Will really appreciate it.

On the list will try other tools later but so far I can only hope to try Mosync a bit more with this audio recording challenge. Thanks in advance.

explorador - I didn't know what MoSync was, so I checked on Google, and Wikipedia [en.wikipedia.org...] seems to indicate a status maybe worse than "currently on pause"....

MoSync is a (no longer maintained[1]) free and open source software development kit (SDK) for mobile applications....

You probably know this, but I'd be remiss not to mention it. I saw the word "bankruptcy" flash by when I moused over the [1] footnote.

Another quick search suggests that there are a bunch of recording apps for Android available. I'm sure for iPhone too.

Thank you Robert, I've been hoping to find a solution as in other projects experiences (things people find out how to finally do) before giving up on Mosync, yes the project is dead despite the many developers interested on reviving the project. I tested it and it really had a lot to offer, lots of good things over the competition, it's sad.

I've been looking at other options specially for android and Iphone, let's see how this goes, thanks again.
