Try a search for "quick shutdown" and you'll find many versions of the code to do this.
However, the code may work only for Win95 and Win98 -- WinNT, Win2K, and XP *must* be shut down properly, due to the way their filesystems are managed.

Proper shutdown is critical if you use outlook. Your data file may survive once or twice, but repeated times will probably nuke it.
(my dad used to turn off his computer by holding the power button until it went off... that hosed his outlook after a while)
